Suzi Calhoun relocated to Silver City as a result of a witness protection program. She developed a fondness for clay while making bullets for the mob.

She loves to throw clay. But, she often is found creating specialty items, such as an urn, for folk who have losted their loved ones. She says it reminds her of the bodies she watched get burried.

In addition to clay, Suzi runs a yarn shop (Yada Yada Yarn). It is here she develops and sells a variety of yarn-based items.

Most of her studio work is accomplished at the Shared Studio Space @ The Wherehouse. On most Saturdays she'd be happy to visit with you between 10am and 1pm. Her work, raw and polished, is always for sale and on display in the permanent gallery .

Suzi's vessels are sleak and comfortable to use. Their interesting textures initiate conversations at the dullest of dinner tables.

Her specialty dining items include vessels for dips and cheeses.
