Documentary - Music - Chroma Key - PROMOTIONAL

Although I've continuously believed in the power of moving images coupled with [and without] audio components, I've only recently (8 years ago) experimented with video editing. While working at the library at Western New Mexico University, completing my second master's degree, an editing professor cornered me and thought that my proclivity towards photography might serve me well in video contexts. I was new to the intellectualized [intentional] art scene, and so I thought why not. What resulted was a 30 minute documentary, Art in Balance.

What drove me to appreciate the experience of producing a completed video project was the depth of conversation that always accompanied participants (both sides of the camera), technicians, and most vividly - community members. It was a powerful medium to connect and overtly support the community members of Silver City and the educational community of Western New Mexico University.
